Hi all, need some advice please. I had to remove the rear silencer box and pipework following a track incident last week that put a slight angle on the box inlet pipe. This has now been straightened off the car with heat but upon refitting the pipes there is now some exhaust gas puffing from a couple of joints that were assembled free of gum. Should I use any gum to eliminate this or will it seal with heat and time? Thanks.

Thanks Andy, I have tightened the locating springs quite a bit to really pull the joints together. This was a bit of a spring bending exercise but may work, if it doesn't I'm going to use some fire gum. Interestingly Radical technical help said there should be no or very small leaks, thats ok when everything is new but on an old system from the design it seems inevitable to get some leaks.
How are you getting on, have you done the 'how fast' yet and when is your first race? We are doing Cadwell on Monday.
