Winter Storage
Discussion
Since I didn't get to use my SR3RS much during the summer (largely due to as yet unresolved noise issues!), there is no chance of it seeing the light of day now until some warmer weather arrives. The car lives in my relatively unheated garage which only allows access to one side of the car, so I have a couple of questions.
Do I store the car off the ground (on its air jacks or blocks) or on the ground?
Should I keep my unused slicks and wets inflated or not?
Are there any other winterisation tips for the rest of the car?
Thanks in advance.

I'd store mounted tyres inflated not flat
If you don't have "old, not really interested in using them again" tyres on the car I'd get it in the air, but not on air-jacks
I'd take the batteries out so you can top them up over the winter. I hate it when the batts go flat.
If your garage is cold and damp:
I might take the pads out
I might spray all the engine, suspension and disks with WD40 or Duck Oil (remembering to clean the disks before putting the pads back in).
If you can't be bothered with that lot and your garage is nice and dry, I might do none of the above! Ok, I'd take the batts out so they can be trickled a couple of times.

I'd recommend chassis stands (and a quick lift jack if you need one) from redturner37 on UphillRacers
Here they are but I'd contact him direct for a better price

A friend suggeste to me that I use greenhouse heaters, the oil filled bar type and a thermostatic plug. If the car is on stands the heaters ( two about 3 feet long ) slide under the car and provide a gentle warming to help prevent condensation.
I've gone up market scince then and got a dehumidifier which works a treat for about £170. I use both now and the car is snug as a bug.
