I have replaced all 4 rose Joints at the gear Change pushrods. Was a quite easy Job but I was stupid enough and missed to measure the distance rose Joints hole to hole.

Today I tried to find the correct adjustment Point but I didn't managed it. Could you guys tell me the correct distance for both push rods?

Also is it correct to use the lowest hole at the Gear Selector Transfer Shaft?

I talked with a technican from Radical Germany today and he gave me some tipps want I have to check during assambly. So I did it again but with the same result, but now I can shift in first gear and than it's blocked. Downshift works.

I did a short Video Clip and some Pictures of the current situation. Maybe some of you has an idea what could cause the Problem. I'm a Little bit in a hurry because I would like to go to a trackday on Wednesday.

It can be quite difficult to get a bike engine to go into all of its gears like that without the engine running and the car moving. You won't necessarily be able to release the torque that holds the dogs together with it stood still. It may slip into one gear but be difficult to get into the next. Try rocking the car back and forth while trying to change - you may well find there is nothing wrong with it.

Easy. The rod coming out from the firewall on the end just into the engine bay is the problem.

You need to adjust the length of the rod from the pivot to the engine so you center the rod in the hole coming out of the firewall. When the pivot lever travels the rod coming out from the firewall also travels up and down.

You don't have enough clearance on the top side of the hole and this is binding the linkage before it can travel far enough to operate the gearbox.

I can confirm that the rod is in the Center of the Firewall hole.

I tried to shift when moving the car back and forth. But I can't get in 2nd gear.
But when I downshift it goes from 1st to N and sometimes to 2nd??? Also I can't shift to any gear just stay at N. Depends on the Position of the wheel.

I guess this is not correct. Any cluess what could be the reason that I can downshift from 1st to N to 2nd ???

Going to sound a bit of an odd question and I apologize if I sound like a douche but I just wanted to check - have you driven this car yet? You do understand the shifting pattern is 1 push forward and 2-6 pull back? Your last comment about it going into neutral and then into second when you shift "down" is what caused me to ask as well as what your hand seems to be doing in the video!

Also, you must remember that after pulling back to select a gear you must let go to allow the lever to return to the centre, before pulling again to select the next gear. It is the motion of the lever that allows the gearbox to select the gear sequentially, not the position as in a conventional car gearbox.

From neutral push firmly forward to get first then release, gently back will give neutral again, firmly back from first will pass through neutral and give second then release, firmly back again will give third and release, and so on up through the gears. Going back down the box is pushing firmly forward and release.

Ok, you guys are right. There was no Problem with the shifting.
I justed jacked up the car and shift trough all gears when engine is running. No Problem.

No I did not drive the Radical yet. I have it now since about 7 or 9 weeks. Only in first gear into my Garage. But thanks for the hint how to shift ;-)
