Curing understeer
Discussion
I'm having trouble with servere understeer in the tight corners In the prosport.
It was perfect at Anglesey when set up fairly stiff and was again perfect at barbon hillclimb when set up a fair bit softer but on anything less than perfectly smooth Tarmac it's a real pig to drive. At 3 sisters yesterday I had massive understeer in the tight corners, and very poor front end grip. If I tried to give it any amount of gas at all mid corner the car was just under steering even more. It was very tight and twisty an on a few occasions I was carrying too much speed into then corners but the understeer was a real pain even when not.
Plenty if the other cars were loading up the front tyre and lifting a rear corner but I seemed to have no grip.times were still ok but I know the car had so much more in it!

If you prod the throttle mid-corner, you'll get weight transfer to the rear. That unloads the front and gives you understeer. Perhaps going deeper on the brakes might help? Tight corners like 3 Sisters are a very different skill to the faster corners you get at Anglesey. Balancing the car with the pedals is the key to going quickly. Alternatively, a bit less bar at the front?
Yeah, it felt like a setup/tyre issue as I've been ok in the tight corners normally!
Usually the front turns in well and grips and I can control the rear with the throttle but at 3 sisters I couldn't feel the front end at all. It was a real handful and I couldn't ride the curbs as my splitter was catching everything making the corners much tighter for me than for others!
