PR6 Honda NSX 3lt V6 project
Discussion
Hi all, a mate of mine will be undergoing a major project on his PR 6 in the next few weeks. He will be fitting a 3lt V6 honda NSX engine. Should you like to spare a few moments to see the photos that I will be posting, I'm sure that you will appreciate it. Before the project starts, here are a couple of photos of the engine. :-)

What transaxle is he going to use. ?
He might not need one. The NSX had the engine mounted transversely with the gearbox and diff at the lower rear with the drive going straight to the drive shafts.I would have thought that the challenge in a PR6 chassis was balancing good weight distribution with getting the drive to the axle line. Locate the engine forward against the bulkhead, get good F/R weight distribution and then you have to get the drive rearwards to the axle line: move the engine back to put the diff on the axle line, get simple final drive and a pretty iffy weight distribution.
As the Irishman said "If I'd wanted to go there sir, I wouldn't have started from here"!
