I am running the factory Radical pneumatic system. Constant problems up shifting at full throttle. Will shift nicely if I lift off the throttle slightly but not under full throttle. Where do I start to solve this problem. The one thing I have done is to make sure the gear selector is positioned correctly. I do not know what else I can do fix this problem. Any ideas?

Have you checked the length of the actuator is correct?

Sounds as if it's not cutting the ignition ...

Have you spoken to Radical?

Yes that's the only thing I know how to do.

Not yet, I like to find out as much as possible before I bother them.

I was told by a Factory Technician of many years experience that problems with the actuation of the PS are usually caused by an air leak, so suggest you have a good look at all those connections.

Did it work before and has just started? If so has anything been changed?

It may be air, but unlikely. If it is air, it'll be most likely the air block which is normally just replaced. A spare is very handy to have with the car. You can check all the push fit fittings as well.

It's more likely the throttle cut as has been mentioned. There are (at least) two generations of paddleshift. If it's the most recent, looking at the life ecu data may tell you why it's not cutting the ignition.

And finally, it's possible that it's a gearbox problem. I spent quite a long time with Radical trying to diagnose an up-shift problem. We eventually concluded it was a box problem and a refresh sorted it out.
