Fitting Radical brake duct hose....how the hell?

I've now spent around 80 quid of hose and heatshrink couplers to replace the very tired from duct hose on my 2003 SR3. Can someone please for the love of god tell me how you get the ducting to fit over the brake ducts on the hub end? They're 52mm o/d and the Radical hose is 50mm i/d so no level of effort is making them fit over.

do they inside not over.....or is that too technical for me ?
alternatively gaffa a la bert tape

Well it was 80 quid if you count the garbage I bought on ebay prior to going to Radical.

They definitely don't go inside Bert, the wierd thing is they fit over the ducts on the diffuser, but not the carbon ducts on the hubs??
