Are PF pads good for short hill climbs when you pretty much need stopping power from first corner?

If PF01 is good enough for 3.5 Goulds they should just about cope with your Radical. Only 2 things to think about really:
  • are they available for your calipers? The answer is "Yes" for HiSpec type and "No" for Mickey Mouse where you'll have to use Hawk Black.
  • they have a very flat mu curve, so if you want to slow down faster (oxymoron of the week?) you push the middle pedal harder. Personally I love the flat mu with a really hard pedal but people used to a rising mu (vs temp) find linearity and precise control a little strange.
"Bedding in" is easy and is really a matter of using progressively harder left foot braking to transfer carbon material to your discs (clean them up first or use new ones). You will feel when they come in. If you can, use every opportunity you get on the way to the line to take the chill off the pads for instant bite.

Anyone tried the new PF11's? Not listed on their website yet but they've been in the press.

If you mean Mickey Mouse as in the Wilwood calipers, then yes PF01s are available for those too (or were when I last bought some a couple of years ago)

Got them on one end of my road/track 3.4S Cayman with PF10 at the other. They're OK but not quite as impressive (though a lot quieter) than the PF01 on my lightweight track/road Cayman SV (see this month's GT Porsche).
