Hi all, anyone know the weight of the main rear carbon wing on a PR 6 please?

As long as its light I don't really care about any coefficients :-p

Wouldn't you be better with a heavy wing as it would give more downforce..............bounce

Do you mean just the OE carbon main plane without either the end plates or the flap? If so, as I've got one 'loose' I'll try to unearth and weigh it tomorrow.

Please share this master of fibre with us, ie:- cost, has he got a mould? and how much does it weigh now??

Well, I live in Malta so even if I tell you who he is, it's a logistical problem ;-) well the whole thing diffusers, sidepods etc, are more or less 25kgs lighter than before. My PR6 now weighs 440kgs without fuel. It's a 1300 wet sump engine.I can also tell you the weight of the individual parts, I think I still remember them all :-)

Sorry for delay.

Now this really surprised me.

The yet to be made up one we have weighs approx 2.8Kg; yep, the main plane, not the flap, wow!

I just had some carbon end plates made for my SR8 and they came in at 375 grams each. The aluminum ones were almost 1 kg each.

Thanks for your input guys , very much appreciated :-). Just a note, this evening I weighed all my image 8 and 10 wheels and tyres and they came down to 54kgs , God damn thats heavy :-(
