had a great day today,having setup done by ian dayson at force racing cars.i think i'll benefit from the help he gave me in uderstanding the car,and he really knows his stuff!
the car was;
418 kgs wet with no top body sections
502 kgs with me on board (at 84kg/13st)

i can highly recommend him and at a very reasonable price i feel very good value!

Wow! That's properly light. I didn't think they could get that low. Time to resume my weight loss regime...

Hi, what do you mean by top body section? And why were weights taken without this body section on?

front and rear body sections,so im assuming it would be circa 450kg with them on. the car has nothing it doesnt need other than possibly the large oil cooler.i was advised by ian to keep the cooler on as the weight gains would be minimal.

Ahhh, so you didn't have the body on. That makes more sense. Those are the lightest figures I've ever heard. 450kg is more in line with others, from what I understand.

Wasn't doubting the accuracy was just wondering why it was weighed with the bodywork off as surely the corner weights were done with the bodywork on hence giving the race spec balance and also the race spec weight?

Glad you're sorted though you'll find it miles better now if my experience of corner weighting is anything to go by smile
Cheers,
