What tires best for track days in SR3?? What do you use??

Just wanting to ask what trackday tires other SR3 drivers are using on the original 3 piece split radical rims. We have tried a set of, admitably used, official Radical race series control Dunlop slick tires, however find that we struggle to get heat into them at trackdays(we predominatley do short circuits like Blyton & Cadwell), therefore giving us very little feel from them.

Having spoken to a trackday tire supplier they are recommending that, due to sizes, we would be best to go down the route of soft slicks. Does anyone run a cut slick on the split rims and if so how do they perform on trackdays?

Maybe your used slicks were 6 or 7 years old so as hard as nails that's why you couldn't get them to work, a couple of laps around cadwell you should be able to get some heat in them, maybe not this time of year.
Softer slicks would work but will wear out a lot quicker as well, what about the Dunlop track day tyres that R sell will they fit your rims! must have decent grip as that what vergs had on the SR8 around the ring.
