Awesome. Those cup cars went home to do some Googling, no doubt.

Haha that's hysterical. Those Cups were 4 liter World Challenge (Daytona) cars running full RSR setups with huge grip and big power. They have completely dominated our POC series so far in 2013. I figured out break out my LM to have some fun with em. It's pretty funny that I can show up with a handful of tools and an open trailer and whoop some ass on the big teams. Privateer racing at it's best! "went home to do some googling" Priceless!

And let's not forget that that on top of that their annual running budget is probably 3-4 times yours!

I have the older (original) SR8 and have shared similar track days….the car just STICKS!
I'll post up some videos when I get a minute.

That was my first race in the LM and I'm blown away how it grips. I don't have experience with high DF cars like this and why I was slowing (usually) for some of the corners. That and the slower cars were in the way. My best time was a 1:19.071 which is very fast for that track. I do think, however, that the car has 1:15's in it or better once I learn to trust the aero 100%.

Great stuff - thanks for sharing. Illustrates well the huge difference between a very fast tintop racing car and a 'proper' racing car.

That said - you can go even faster for even less in an open wheel single seater. But you'd need to find a different race series...
