Floating discs 260 mm with older style callipers possible?
Discussion
I have the solid discs and was contemplating to purchase the Radical floating disc bells to attach a 260 mm floating disc (instead of the 280 mm Radical sells). That way I would not need to change my callipers. Without mounting it on the car it is impossible to be sure it would work but in theory this should. Has anybody looked at this issue?
260 mm discs are fully sufficient for my applications and my callipers are also in good shape.
What I can tell from the pictures is that the callipers for the 280 mm floating discs have the same mountings as the callipers for the 260 mm solid disc except that they allow for a larger diameter disc. Am I right there?
I have already contacted Radical and got nowhere with my question.

You're getting like Bert Bert! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Anyway, assuming that your calipers are the Dynalite Lug Mount (ie a bolt on replacement for the Wilwood jobbies) and you look here: http://www.hispecbrake.co.uk/RR114DL.html you will see the acceptable rotor thicknesses.
TaDa!
