wheel offsets for sprinting or hillclimbing a clubsport
Discussion
hi,all i have got all the bits sorted on the clubsport now and am after some wheels for sprinting. if i was to go 7 1/2" or 8" front and 9 1/2" or 10" rear. what offsets do i need to avoid any fitting issues?
im thinking along the lines of the compomotive cxr as they are quite well priced.cheers

here's what i ordered
X2 CXR1370 7x13 et0 pcd 4x108 grey finish
X2 CXR1390 9x13 et-20 pcd 4x108 grey finish
Not saying its impossible as i know some have done it but on offering up an 8" front tyre i decided that it would be very tight up front so went 7", a rear 10" would probably fit easily tho.

Someone mentioned to me over the weekend that comp have gone into the hands of the administrators, just had a look and it would seem so.

Why not just get Harry to build you a set of Images - http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/? As they're 3 piece wheels you can get them in any offset you wish and have them easily and (relatively) cheaply repaired if/when you bend them.
I've always used Image wheels on Prosports and also now use them on the rear of the Force LM.
I trust that you've all read this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... and are paying particular attention to the warning about making sure that you have a safe amount of rod end shank in the wishbone when obtaining the low camber angles required by cross plies or Avon Radials. This may well involve you in having custom, longer top wishbones fabricated.
I've always found that if you start with the right wheels then a c 5mm spacer solves the "wheel catching on wishbone web problem".
A bientot mes braves.
