It was a great end to a very frustrating weekend for me.

Clubmans race 1 - was having a great scrap with Aaron Bailey in front and Tom Jordan behind until I ran out of grip (aka talent) at Druids
Clubmans race 2 - was having a great scrap with Marcello in front and Tom Jordan behind until Tom ran out of grip (aka talent) at Clearways (at which point I departed proceedings)
SR3 Challenge race 1 - was having a great scrap with Andy C in front and Iain Forsyth behind until my driveshaft ran out of talent
SR3 Challenge race 2 - didn't run out of talent, but had to call team orders to get Miss Bert to instigate the safety car to bunch the field up for me! Ended up tucked up behind Andy C for the last few laps, but didn't quite get a run to have a go anywhere.

So that's my best performance so far and I'm quietly pleased about it!

'Ere Spanners ........

You definitely need to skive off on Shabbat and go see RCC; IMHO superb for spectators (even I can see who's won) and for example this weekend, twice the number of cars on that titchy little Indy Circuit (thank heavens for PHB).

If we're talking about the SR3C, only right to mention (yet another) two wins for last year's RCC Champ Bradley Smith ........ the pairing of Bradley Smith and Bradley Smith looks to be in another league to me; it's apparent that they are both extremely fast (and properly under control) bow

And if we're talking about RCC, only right to mention two wins for Jesper Westerholm - makes you proud to be British bow

I even made a formal protest, but it seems I was wrong...being Swedish isn't against the regs.

And as for Bradders, it's only a matter of time until they find his secret turbocharger biggrin

I was there on the Saturday helping out with James Guess in the SR1 cup. We keep his car at our unit and a guy we know spanners for him.

I managed to get to paddock bend to watch most Radical races. Thought it was fabulous and there were some real talented drivers out to play. Last time I saw Radical racing was at Silverstone last year where it's all a bit sterile for watching, IMHO. Brands just made it all the better so well done one and all.

Totally Agree Trevor,
Miss those days I used to spend in Clubmans Paddock, and have been feeling really guilty about not seeing RCC races recently, Will put that right very soon!!.
Id like to think we're not Biased, and there's always been the odd procession (in previous years..) ,but I really like the 4-pot scene this year.
I have to admit and say if I hadnt karted all these years I could have had a Clubsport for track days by now
.......sigh....

P.S Bert, if the Swedish Surname theory rings true .....Will we see a Mark or James Abba in the future? :-)

Ah so that's what you were doing in our awning wink Sorry I didn't come over and say hi, you seemed busy.

Couldn't agree more on the quality of racing, the other Bradley's overtaking was sublime and Mr Cummings also drove his arse off. Well done all and see you at Oulton!

Industrial espionage!

We were discussing various weighty matters such as the appropriate "Bert rule of gaffa" to use for the conditions biggrin

Thanks guys,

It was certainly nice to salvage something from a s...te weekend in terms of reliability. To get within a whisker of a podium starting from last in both races, I thought was a good effort! Thanks for keeping me focused Graham... bloody safety cars!!

See you all at Oulton.

Andy.
