What's the word on the best tyre temps to run SR3RS on Dunlops ?

We ended up after first test at

FR 25.3 RR 26.3

FL 25.4 RL 26.4

Thanks for the replies. We had the set up sheet and ran 29 hot as suggested. We felt that we were not using the full surface of the tyre so dropped back to the pressures in the first post. Grip improved and the tyres cleaned up much better! This was a track day and only luke warm at only 11 Degs !

With recommended camber you will not see even wear on the fronts. rears should be pretty evenly worn.

Yes rears are wearing very even, just leaving a bit of the centre of the front tyres un used. Using factory settings, maybe just too slow Lol. It did feel much better all round on the slightly lower pressures as the movement in the tyre was giving us a bit more heat. Will try 29 all round again when we have some good tarmac temps. Mind you as I mentioned tarmac was cold so tyre temps were pretty low.

Thanks for the advice

If the middle isn't worn it sounds like pressures are tool low, normally it's the outer 3rd that sees a bit less wear, are you running 4 dg neg camber on the front?

3-1/2Degs, will double check that though but pretty sure. Once we dropped a few pounds we got better even tyre wear across the full tyre width.

Its strange after the Juno where we were used to running 14-1/2 -16psi on F3 tyres.

Incidentally that was my old Juno TR250 Duratec that won both rounds of the Castle Coombe GT last bank holiday

Nice car but To be fair it was Jonty's race till he had a problem, that's one fast Clubmans car!

To finish first first you have to finish, Yes it was but reliability is the Juno's strong point!

Think it's had a decent engine upgrade & some of the later aero parts added to the mix.

Clearly race one was looking like a 3rd place for Craig till Simon's & then Jonty's cars conked out, but fair play to him in race 2 he blitzed the start & pulled away convincingly.

Did Jonty's car have a race 2 problem at all? That car car certainly looks indecently fast so well done on that one LCM.

We can say what we like about the Yoof on here as he doesn't visit. Yep, he can drive it fairly well driving but just needs his "Big Girl's Blouse" quotient kept under control to ensure that he delivers! blah

The next step is to get his mechanical prep up to scratch, if he did his day job to the same standard we'd all be in deep doo-doos yikes
