The owners manual suggests after 60 hours to inspect/rebuild or replace the steering rack. Being an enclosed system how do I inspect the rack for any problems or wear?

I'm not sure about the SR3, but the Clubsport / Prosport steering rack is not an "enclosed system". Once out of the car, the rack can be dismantled with conventional tools. The pinion is mounted on an eccentric system which can be adjusted to control the engagement of the pinion on the rack. The thrust generated by the pinion on the rack is reacted by a shaped thrust plated that acts on the rack on the opposite side from the pinion. The thrust plate can be adjusted with a screw adjuster. Also, the ball ends can be prone to wear if they're set too tight. Adjustment both of the ball ends and of the pinion-to-rack engagement are fairly straight-forward, but perhaps best left to a specialist if you're not entirely confident.

Thanks for the advise.
I also got an answer from Radical technical section:
"You need to check for any rust on the shaft, excessive play in the movement of the steering wheel, excessive play on the end rack bushes, and the inner track rod ends."
All makes good sense.
