Think so
Forgive me chaps and not wishing to p*ss on your chips BUT, I have an uneasy feeling nagging in the back of my mind that I encountered something in the suspenders dept where something made for a late car was not a simple bolt-on fit for an early car (don't ask me what as I can't recall but have a fuzzy mental picture of coil spring/damper units). So, it's always wise to make sure and measure the open and closed lengths of the dampers together with the diameters and free lengths of springs.
A bientot mes braves!

Maybe not then!
The Koni dampers I have on my Clubsport were from an SR3 and seem to work pretty well, I don't use any preload though.
I would have thought that if the fully compressed and fully extended lengths are correct and that the valving was somewhere handy then it shouldn't matter what the dampers were from?

one of the big advantages of the 3 way Intrax dampers is that you can adjust the top mounts to adjust the open length... so physically they can be used in a number of applications....
The PR6 rear suspension is different to the CLub/Prosport (different motion ratio) so ideally would want a revalve to make the swap work...but this isnt expensive.
As the spring rates used in SR3 are the same as in PR6 I would say that the valving is similar.... although R would have you believe differently...

Are you sure about the rocker ratio being different on the Clubsport/Prosport compared to the PR6? I just had a look on the big Rs online store and the front suspension rockers and wishbones are the same part numbers on the PR6 to the Club/Prosport.
The fronts have the same motion ratio....but slightly different damper lengths...(which is not an issue on the 3 ways) but the rears are totally different - PR6 has Niklink front and rear....and most Prosport/Clubsports I have seen have a traditional roll bar at the rear... the different set ups have different motion ratios (0.7 for PR6 vs 1.1 according to Radical ) which makes a difference to spring rate and damper valving needed.... nothing that cant be reworked of course...but PR6 dampers on the rear of a Prosport might be a bit soggy unless you have a Niklink set up on the Prosport...LCM said:

early Clubsports use plane bush mounts for the dampers, later cars use spherical bearings?Gassing Station | Radical | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
