Already tested the SR3 back to back at Silvestone GP. Very similar lap times. Juno is and feels a bigger car all round and is driven with a little more precision to get the best out of it. Radical feels a little more chuckable and forgiving if pushed to the edge.Juno has a strong Honda engine and feels more torquey and forgiving in the case of a mistake or poor corner, Radical requires you to be on it and keep revs up to get the best out of it.Juno build is Bullet proof, robust endurance Sports Prototype.Radical feels more individual and the smaller brother to the CN spec cars.We have added Radical as it offers excellent two seat capability for track days and will help with a young driver that we are bringing on.Overall balance turn in etc very similar.Hope this helps!

Visit to the factory was excellent, new car was also excellent.I was very impressed with the in house engineering and Radical set up. The level of prep that goes into a used Radical deserves praise, full engine re fresh, full strip clean check and replacement of all components with wear in excess of 50%. You really feel like your used car purchase will be as good as new.

Many thanks to Jamie for his time and hooking me to buy the car,now looking forward to the fun.

Interesting.

I would have thought that a modern 2 litre SP car would be significantly quicker than an SR3 RS 1500

This is 250bhp 2012 Juno times

Donington 1.04.3
Silverstone National - 52.9
Donington long circuit - 1.27.7
Brands Indy - 44.2
Oulton Park 1.35.3

Not sure about some of those times, this is quoted as the Donnington Lap record for 2.0CN speeds
GP Circuit: Ivan Bellarossa (Wolf GB08) 1m29.340s (161.3kph) 15/07/12

That makes tbe Jade nearly 2 Seconds quicker?

SR8 1.03

Sr3 1.06

Found Jade Trackstar BRSCC record of 1.03 as well but doubdt that was the 250BHP version, if it was its bloody quick for 250HP and seemingly out of sink with other 2.0 Spirts Proto's

RADICAL UK CUP
M: Robb Huff (SR8) 1m03.734s (111.78mph) 25/09/10
S: Alex Kapadia (SR3) 1m06.653s (106.89mph) 25/09/10
I: Chris Blades (SR8) 1m10.617s (100.89mph) 26/09/10

A: Graham Cole (Jade Trackstar) & Matt Manderson (Chiron LMP 09) 1m03.397s (112.38mph) 15/05/11, are these 2.0 sports proto's. I would guess bigger engines?

As a comparison

Doug Hart in a 2L Chiron this year,in OSS

Car is 10 years old and driven by a club racer not a pro.

Not always on new rubber

Castle Combe 1m.03.0s

Oulton Park Int 1m37.2s

Donington National 1m04.4s

Brands Indy 45.2s

Brands was drying after a Monsoon

Another Chiron 2L in 2004 is on a timing sheet at ss national at 54secs dead in Supersport spec(230 hp)

That's just too radio one. You'll need a new term for it.

Isn't that the car that Marshy broke in two and then welded back together with some other broken bits?

In fairness, I've known Doug since the early '80s when we went to art college togather and - having raced since we was a kid and driven oodles of proper cars like his current March 75S - he's a bit more than a 'club racer'.

Point taken

Put the same driver in a proper 2L SP and a SR3 RS,and he will go faster in the former

Haven't heard of a jade turning a wheel this year with 250bhp... and that car certainly wasnt.

Apologies.
The times were set by a 2012 Juno 2L--not a Jade

Ah,2012 Juno that makes a bit more sense thumbup My CN Juno is the earlier model and about 1.5 secs a lap slower on a longer circuit than the 2012 model.
