Play in one SR3 drive shaft but not the other, normal???

Recently had our SR3 engine refreshed and have noticed that the left drive shaft (as you stand at the back of the car looking forward)has about 1" lateral play, which I am led to believe is normal for suspension movement. However there is no play in the right drive shaft? and would have expected it to be the same.

Can anyone advise if this is normal or could the engine have been put back in slightly to one side after the refresh?
