I put in an order to get some lightweight bodywork done from these guys but they are not replying to emails or phone calls - have they gone bust or summit - anyone know?? confused Thankfully no money had changed hands but last conversation with them said they were progressing well with it too....

Looks like the OE (plus repairs) 'cast iron weight' bodywork will have to do if that's the case then! frown

when i was looking at getting a rear diffuser they took a while to reply, hence going with Tristan @ Arc Angels.

contact details the same as ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/diffuser-/130606157866?p...

Use Tristan at Arc Angels, he'll sort you out.

Think he is away in America but should be back in a week or so.

Let me know if you want anymore info on what he does.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yep I had a good, long conversation with Tristan at the same time as I was speaking to MVS - great guy to deal with but unfortunately their carbon (as beautiful as it sounded) was out of my price range. I had to bear in mind that I run a car that cost me £11k and a full carbon bodywork option was in the region of £14k! They did do another option with GRP backing and resultant cost was much cheaper - same asa the MVS stuff but theirs was cheaper still...

Looks like they are out of business me thinks... Maybe they weren't charging enough!

Thanks for the help smile

Just to add to your comments, from my experience, Arc Angels quality is much better than MVS, we bought a front splitter from MVS once for our clubsport and the finishing quality was dreadful.

Nope, I'm afraid not. I did see the new items of sale on eBay so got in touch with them through their eBay account but still waiting on a reply... I'll not hold my breath!

I was speaking to someone else last time out with the car who has been waiting on a replacement rear wing from them for about a year now...

Such a pity, was so looking forward to having some lighter weight bodywork on the car...

The chaps at MVS have been good friends of mine for many years now and they are very genuine. Without wishing this forum topic to carry on its probably worth me mentioning that they have had to cope with some ill-health matters over the last year or so and are slowly getting back to normal. Thanks, Myd

Well said Myd.

I knew about this 'in the round', but I knew you were much better placed to amplify, which you have now done and most eloquently.

Anyone who has suffered and had to face up to a serious life-threatening illness (either personally or to someone close) knows how incredibly tough it can get and that for sure, they fully deserve some understanding in return for the fight they have put/are putting up.

And just to say, 'on the upside' so as to speak, a ROC Member has recently had a main plane from them at a very good price and as I understand it, they are exceedingly well pleased.

'Speak As You Find, Not As Others Tell You' comes to mind.

Gents, easy now, I wasn't meaning to imply any malice towards MVS - have a read of my posts! The only thing I commented on that coould be taken as a negative was relaying that a fellow racer was also not hearing back from them. As with everything people only moan about when it goes bad and people rarely mention when they receive a good service.

I heard about an illness at MVS via correspondance with one of the other forum members but was told that they were still trading hence me trying to get back in touch again. I then noticed they were back trading on eBay so tried once again. If you think about it, I wouldn't be continually chasing them if I personally didn't think their work was up to scratch.

My experience with them was great at the start. I made the effort and flew down to Bristol and took a hire car out to them to see their work as they were able to give me the time to talk through the job, how it would be done, the various options and of course what I wanted from them and what the reality was etc. I thought their work was top notch for the money hence being very keen to get them to do it and also my disappointment when I haven't heard back from them.

Myd, if you are close with them or in contact with them can you ask them to get in touch please!

Ross

PS Myd, how'd the Koni's turn out for you - I'd be interested to hear what you thought of them - a few guys in the paddock seemed horrified that I had swapped them out. The Protech's you gave me worked very well and since upgraded to the double adjustables for an extra bit of adjustability.

My admiration for Myd's ever more rounder skills grows greater by the minute; Ross if you tell me you handed him any folding as part of that swapsie, I'll write off to Cameron and suggest Myd gets a knighthood wink

Will certainly pass on the message Ross, I know you're a good chap and I have certainly not felt any under currents from you or anyone here, i was just keen to set the record straight, text isnt always the best way to explain things as I have often realised.

Yes, the KONIs fitted a treat with a little mod to the bolt inserts. As I've gone a little lighter with the car I am likely to get them re-dynoed to suit but I'm very pleased with them. Those Protec were a steal :-)

As for track time there hasn't been any. Since the first dyno session I've gone bigger on the fuel rail and injectors plus a larger diam crank pulley to spin the charger up a little faster so it's back on the rollers at the end of Sept.

I do have a plan to wheel it out for the last two OSS races but time is against me at the mo and it will really need some track time to bed in and set up so Winter testing here we come.
