Given that it's a half decent track wink and there's no conflict with RCC @ Brands Indy on Saturday 16 June 2012 and @ Oulton Park on Saturday 28 July 2012, who's doing/thinking about doing this?

It'd be nice to think the monsoon season will be over by then! hehe

Nah, too many time constraints at the moment.

Slowly chipping away at the car, I was just about to send it off to AB Performance to build an exhaust system for it but instead decided to replace the ageing CBR900 919 engine with an '08 CBR1000. The class structure changed just after I bought the kit and everyone moved out of the old class C for the 919 motors a bit quicker than I was hoping. So a big-ish investment in a new motor and back to building again.

Actually this quite suits me at the moment, number two child still requiring quite a lot of time. I'll get there, enjoying not having an pressure on me to do it if that makes sense. With the motor I'm putting in it now it will be on spec for class R when I do get out, aerodynamics of a 7 allowing of course rolleyes

Did I pick up that you are now running a PR6? Will still got the PS?

Plans of mice and men and all that .......... you'll get there - you'll just have to learn to love being downforce-free.

Lovely cars the PR6, ogling a really early one at Excel before they started selling like hot cakes was one of the reasons I ended up with a Radical in the form of the SR4.

The original hook was when I was racing gearbox karts at Little Rissy, every year they do a summer race weekend with all sorts of classes invited and a few motorsport teams exhibiting their cars. That year a certain N.Mansell's sons were climbing the karting ladder and racing that weekend. On the Saturday evening after the racing had finished "our Nige" hopped into the SR8 that Team RPM had on display and gave it the full beans round Rissy which is one of the more open kart circuits. Hooked from that moment on...

Your irresistable bait was a lot more logical than mine; at one time, several years ago now, I was toying with the idea of perhaps having one of those 'mad as a box of frogs' wick turned up maximum Jap Turbo AWD Thingies and it just so happened that THE MAN I got put in touch with to discuss/supply same happened to be selling his SR4 & BJRS3 Outfit. The rest is history and not one regret.

Now there's a strange thing, that was a 'Nige'. No 'tache tho' wink
