I'm a new addition to the Radical world but my first two race weekends of 2012 have been very successful in the Scottish Sprint & Hillclimb Championships. Unfortunately I broke the offside (drivers) driveshaft when tyre warming at Doune at the weekemd. Luckily though a fellow competitor carried a spare (really lucky seeing as he wasnt racing and didnt have his car with him!) so I was bale to get back racing quickly - it happened at 2nd practice on the Saturday morning which would have meant the end of the weekend.

I am now looking to buy a couple of spares - other than the obvious (and at a risk of upsetting peeps??) do anywhere else sell these driveshafts? I'm not sure if they are made specifically for the Prosport or whether they are from another vehicle i.e. the CV joints are from a Ford Fiesta.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

Ta in advance.

Have a word with Douglas at westgarage.co.uk he sourced my spare "unbreakable" drive shafts, although I have yet to use them, still using the original 14 year old spliced and tubed ones!

As oft stated, "amen to that".

Brand driveshafts as successors to the Late Bob Dayson are excellent.

Excellenty, thank you all for your suggestions!

Matty - I had a spare shaft from you but typically it was the other side that went! Weirdly 60ft times didn't change all that much without warming...

Loving this radical though wink

Jeff Berrisford makes unbreakable driveshafts, custom made to your dimensions. I have a set in the garage from Myd's Poweretec setup from his Darrian.
