My Fiat 126 #MonsterMouse uses a Powertec axle, Im interested in some engine bay pictures of Radicals if you can spare me some, My car has a Rotrex Honda Blackbird engine, mated to the Powertec axle.

I am still planning out the engine bay & systems locating, so pictures would help.

Another question, can the Powertec run without an oil cooler?, if not am I correct it will need a pump of some sort.

I have a few engine bay images already, but cannot find anymore.

Thanks

Nice Project ............ I had one of those brand new years ago - now that would go very nicely indeed with a bike-engine!

I think like the Busa, the Blackbird had a gear driven oil pump and cooler in it's standard original wet sump bike configuration, so I can't think how you could do without one in a rear/mid engine arrangement; every Powertec/RPE I've seen has had an oil cooler ...... ready for applying BertBert's gaffa-taping rules. smile

I ran a similar set-up of both a carbed Blackbird and a Injected Busa with a Powertec axle in my old kit car laugh and never ran an oil cooler with it, but that was 15-20 minute runs at a time.

I guess for sprinting it would be much less.

Good to hear you Ivan and car is looking sweet clap

Hello Myd,

I have been tied up with other commitments since December so slow to progress, spare time looming early April when I can get stuck in.

The steering is in and bracketed, just needs some fettling.

Then I will be setting about the engine bay, and organising where everything is going to fit.

If there is a God it will fit.....
