Any idea how come all the lights on the dash are remaing on at full intersity please? just got the car a few hours ago, it worked fine for the first few times I started it, but all of a sudden all the lights are at full intensity, and touching any button has no effect whatsoever. I also tried to diconnect the steering from the dash. It happens both with engine on or off.
Any input greatly appreciated.

Check the connector block and any earths related thereto (also wires to see there is no short circuiting) i.e. disconnect, blow-out both male and female ends, visually check, light spray of WD, reconnect and try.

Hi splitpin,
I did all that but still showing all the 8s. I sprayed contact cleaner, took the body off too to check if anything loose or diconnected from the back, but all looks ok.
I am lost :-(

Have you checked or formatted the sd card in the logging unit? That cured ours.

hey Josh, no haven't yet. As I said I just got the car today. Will defenitely give it a shot though. So I just put the SD card into computer and erase everything? Again, excuse my ignorance, I am new to all this.

Josh, I guess it must have been the problem after all, as soon as I took the sd card out of the slot, I turned the ignition on and voila!!! seems to be working again. Now off to read how to format the card .
Once again thanks for your help mate ;-)

Glad it worked. Be worth downloading a copy of the manual off of the faringdon site as that's very helpful too.
