Aftermarket rims for the Radical?
Discussion
If you measure the dimensions of the wheels, distance from rims to mounting face etc. then you can source wheels from anywhere.
As I have always run my car on a budget of approx £0.00, my wheels are ancient Revolution e-bay specials apparently originally from a racing Ford Anglia 105E.
Yes, nice new wheels will be lighter and look good, but all four of mine cost less than a couple of tyres

did you crack test them?
No, (that would have cost more than the wheels?) they had obviously never been repainted and had no visual cracks and I have now used them for 5 or 6 very full seasons of hillclimbs and sprints. My spare set are more of a mixed bag and turned out had different offsets so run them with different width spacers.I still use the original Allycats for my "wets".

What is the correct sizing for the Radical rims and where else could I buy some besides Radical? Anybody has a spare set for sale? I just banged my car into a guard rail
I have a spare set of new Sr3 centre-lock rims in black. Still boxed. They'll be cheaper than from you-know-who, but still a reasonable cost as they are er new!Bert

Bert
It's a SR3. Yes I'm interested. I will send you a text.Bert
So far what I could find out the SR3 (2005) rims are front 15" x 7.5" +15 offset and rears 16" x 9.5" +25 mm offset. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Could be a bit of a decision time coming up then.
The 3 runs 10.5" rears as standard now (Radical's own 'casts') and I'd guess that's what you have BertBert?
How 'stuffed' are the Images BioBa? (May depend if they've got the cast or billet centres) Being 3 piece they can be re-rimmed - 'as is' or plus the appropriate bit on the inner if you want to widen them. Just a thought.

Thanks for letting me know about the standard sizings. My wheel is badly banged up. Let's see if the rim can be repaired. There is a company here which can do amazing things to stainless steel rims. I might try to just get a replacement rim. At the same time I need a spare set for my wets anyway. So Berts rims might just be the ones.
Bit academic in all probability - the centre is either OK or it's not.
The cast centres have more rounded slightly sloped edges to the 'spokes' - that sloping is endemic to wheels which are cast and need to be able to 'slipped' out of the moulds. If they look OK, they probably are, but if you want to be 100% sure (recommended) get them X-Rayed.
The billet centres have machined edges to non-sloped edges to the 'spokes' - they are hugely strong and even if they are lightly/sightly 'bent' they can probably be tweaked by someone who really knows what they are doing, then X-Rayed if you want to be 100% sure (again recommended).
That rim is truly buggered - don't even try to get it repaired - it's pretty thin spun aluminium. If you can't get replacement rims locally, contact Image as I assume they could send them to you for re-building over there. They are really light, so postage shouldn't be too frightening.
PS From what I can make out, yours are casts.
PPS If you had done that to one of BertBert's wheels (i.e. my guess that these are one piece cast), 99.9% your options would be limited to skip or scrap metal man.

BioBa, My 2005 SR3 was supplied with 2 sets of 9.5/10.5in wheels as per the later cars (one set for wets and the others slicks), so no issue at all in retro-fitting.
I'm going to pick up a third set, and will go the same size again (if anyone has any 1 pieces they'd like to ship to OZ let me know).
