Hi all,
Firstly apologies if that has been asked on this forum previously - I've run a couple of searches with no real success.
I'm planning to enter a few races for the 2012 Clubmans cup, I'll be attending a Radical trial day next Saturday which will be in an SR3, however I think as an individual driver without the full support team, an SR4 or PR6 will be better suited for me.
Based on the current prices, can an SR4 be a competitive machine in the cup? Or is it worth the extra investment into a PR6? Are they 'radically' different?
The reason I'm leaning towards the SR4 is the ability to use for track days with friends/family.
Cheers
Clive B.

Depends on which class you run in.
A 1200 or a "restricted" 1300 in the Clubsport class would be very competetive.
An "unrestricted" 1300 in the Prosport class - not very competetive.
All 3 of this years clubsport class runners have upgraded to PR6s (I think), so the clubsport class could be a bit lonely.
I don't think there's a material difference in self-running the SR3, PR6 or SR4 really. In the SR3, there's no pesky chain to worry about either! I suspect handling the body on your own is easiest in the SR3 and SR4. But there's always people about to give you a hand with the body.
Handily, I think there may be at least two 2011 class winners in attendance at sliverstone on the 12th for you to chat with. One of whom won the clubsport class in an SR4!

I have had SR4 ( 2 versions ), PR6, and now SR3. So far the SR3 is quite disturbing in that the maintenanace has been absolutely nil. What I mean by that is nowt gone wrong...
The SR4 is underated but the SR3 has a lot more competition in the races due to the numbers particpating.
Have a great day

Isn't that one marked as sold on the Radical webby. We're delivering Jen's SR4 to radical at silverstone on the 12th, but I suspect that's spoken for already.
OP: if you are going to race in the club cup and want to be in the main racing pack, then an SR3 or PR6 is the way to go. I don't think that self running is really an issue for either, so it's up to which you like driving and the one or two seat question.
