Hi,

I need to change the chain kit on my prosport (hayabusa).
I'm a newbie with this kind of transmission...
Is there some configurations to exclude?
For example :
- with a 16 teeth front sprocket can i put any final drive sprocket from 46 to 50?
- and with a 17 teeth front sprocket?

It could be a stupid question for you....

Based on this, stick with the 16 front - here's the relevant extract from Rad's Gearing Guide i.e. rear depends on the particular track >

Prosport

Circuit / Front / Rear / Alt Rear as appropriate.

Snetterton / 16 / 47
Brands Hatch / 16 / 50
Mallory Park / 16 / 50
Pembrey / 16 / 49
Donington Park / 16 / 48 / 49
Silverstone (National) / 16 / 48 / 47
Cadwell Park (short) / 16 / 49
Cadwell Park (long) / 16 / 48 / 49
Oulton Park / 16 / 49
Castle Combe / 16 / 48 / 47
Spa Francorchamps / 16 / 46 / 47
Croix En Ternois / 16 / 49 / 50
Dijon / 16 / 46

Jackard, FGor hillclimbing I am currently running 16T front and a 50T rear, seems to be working quite well so far! I also have a drag chain, which also works well (but do not use this for track or prolonged running due to lack of o-ring lubrication) - http://www.rcsperformanceonline.com/EK_DRZ2_Drag_C...
