I've done something dumb but what?
Discussion
I have just started reassembling the front suspension on my clubsport. I have stripped and rebuilt the uprights including new bearings and stripped and rebuilt the brake callipers. Now I come to reassemble and the disc (a somewhat aged skinny one) won't fit within the caliper even prior to putting the pads back in. It fouls the outer side of the calliper. Or to put it another way, when the disc is back on and I try to refit the caliper the outer side fouling the disc means I can't get the calliper onto its mounts.
The only thing I can think of is that I have put the wrong bearing in and that face of the plate that the disc bears on is now too far out of the hub. I am straining to recollect the way the upright is put together and whether this is possible.
Any thoughts before I have to take everything back off and strip down the upright and kill another bearing?

Are they the dark reddish four pot Wilwoods on yours? If so, as I'm fettling tomorrow, I could take some pics and email them to you showing you how it all looks when everything's right and working.
I have one dark reddish and one strangely green wilwood four pot (I think it had a bit of a life before entering my 'care') Photos would be useful if it's not too much bother. However many one takes when stripping down they are never of the right thing (is there a double entendre smiley?).Are they the dark reddish four pot Wilwoods on yours? What I could do with checking is whether the caliper lugs are on the car side of the upright and whether there is just the one spacer in the caliper. But anything else that gives a clue is much appreciated.
Much thanks to Trevor and Dunc for the pics.
In case anyone is hunting on a search and having the same problem, it was down to the spacers on the front brake callipers. Basically there were not enough. The rear callipers don't require any and the fronts require two or three depending on the type you have. The moral being 'Measure and photograph before you take things apart'.
