Can they not be run (via the lance ofcourse) direct to a compressor? Im just in the process of sourcing replacement cylinders for work albeit argon etc most (BOC etc) have a yearly rental which at around £80 is rather expensive when you include a refil charge also. There are more places appearing that do a one off charge of around £80 deposit then you only pay the refill costs but i havent seen any for compressed air its mainly welding gases etc.

In that case, there are a few options available for NON rental bottles on a one off charge.

These do a Nitrogen bottle with a £50 deposit http://www.adamsgas.co.uk/stat_ind_product.aspx?ct... and £23 + vat for the gas. Carriage can be the killer tho its approx £70 for an exchange bottle (gas @ £23 carriage £35 + vat).

Best to use Nitrogen (dry) so as not to corrode the internals.

You can't run off a compressor as you need the kind of pressure you can only get from a Nitrogen bottle - unless you have a a bottle recharging rig, but you still wouldn't want to connect that to the car.
