Thanks Bert, really appreciate the offer however I'm in Shropshire so quite far away from you. I have seen this bag which seems like a good option. https://www.msar.co.uk/moulding-kits/msar-hd-x-lar...
I'm 5'7, and when i sat in the car i was really low. I dont mind being really low but I might need raising abit. I've seen in the older ones people put actual foam in the bag, would this be ok and then pour the mix into the bag with the foam pads?
You do feel very low in the cars. But yes, I have put a layer (or two) of camping foam in the bag on the bottom of the seat then poured the foam in. Works pretty well. You should be prepared for it to go wrong before you perfect the technique. But don't overdo the foam. If it froths up and over, it makes a mess that is never clear-up-able! You can always add more foam into a set seat in the bag if it's not come high enough first time around.I'm 5'7, and when i sat in the car i was really low. Cleaning the car, do you take the panels off as i read there batteries and ecu etc under some panels and i wouldn't want to cause any water damage.

I prefer to use expanding foam (don't buy it from Demon Thieves, use East Coast Fibreglass supplies or similar).
BB, if you are indeed on commission from East Coast Fibreglass best tell them I made an expanding foam purchase this evening from their website based entirely on your recommendations Had my first day at Silverstone 2 days ago with the car and it was awesome!
Only ever driven a SR3 for 20 mins last November, so this aero thing is all new to me. Not driven Silverstone GP in 15 years apart from Sim' so excuse my lines if they are abit iffy.
The car ran really well, found out it has 2 light weight batteries, and had Chris Preen and Tim Gray Motorsport on hand answering my questions and just helping me run the car so i know for when I am on my own, It was a big help!
Everyone I've spoken to on here, Josh, Dan at RLM, Richard at Radical, Chris and Tim have been so helpful so big thank you to everyone for answering all my questions.
I put together a video of my first 2 sessions as the battery in the GoPro didn't last long, I ran dive planes and full wing just to be safe for now. Also ran AVONs which came up so quickly, but went off after 20 mins. Just need to get my head around the late braking and cornering speeds, my brain is telling me noooooo haha.

Thanks chaps! Glad i took the plunge.
Yes I did find out the chassis number. SR3_00645. Its a GoPro 7, and I have no idea why it does that as the camera is fixed. However the quality is great and extremely smooth.
Question chaps, does anyone know how far the front jacking point is under the car? Looking at quick lift jacks, and I can see short or long.
Thanks,

Thanks guys, I used a 2tn trolley jack on the rear, pulled the car up on race ramps. I got a long reach jack and lifted the front. Gave the car a clean and check over and removed loads of rubber from everywhere. Got the hang of getting the body front and rear off by myself. Found out the car has 2 lithium batteries so got a lithium charger to ensure these are charged pre trackday.
Not just need to find a way to pump the fuel out of the tank to work out how much its using on track days........was flying blind at Silverstone, just kept adding fuel, was adding 20ltr every 25-30 mins of run time.
Loving this learning curve.

theres a drain down hose and cable kit u can prob buy from the racing teams or RCD drain down hose has safety connector that fits onto end of fuel line ...12v electric supply to small connector at LH side of engine other end has crocodile clips to battery suppy ..when connected up just keep an eye on fuel coming out as it quite quick ..so u don't run fuel pump dry !! ive connected a permanent supply to battery via a small connectors up behind pass seats makes it easier than trying to get c/clips onto battery !! will send u some pics
What a fantastic thread this is! I am in the same boat but suffering with what car to get. I have always liked the idea of a Radical but ideally a road version would be my preference. May the SL but these are like hens teeth. Perhaps the new Rapture could be an option but significantly more costly.
I have an order on an Atom, but can't help to think if a Radical would suit me better. Actually, it's always been between an Ultima Evo, Radical and Ariel Atom.
OP: do you mind me asking what a 2012 SR3 goes for these days? most of the ones for sale seem to be 2015 cars at around the £40-£45k mark. Great video btw!!

I'll drop you an email and we can have a chat, I have a spreadsheet of stuff i purchased, learn't etc as I started from stratch! A 2012 car with very little engine run time is low 30's. I really knew nothing about a Radical before my purchase but jumped in. Now my brain is filling with information and I'm running it myself and getting there. There are so many people willing to help its great. I have an order on an Atom, but can't help to think if a Radical would suit me better.
