Any ideas where I can get the screw in bulbs that fit the fuel gauge? Thanks

Er, Halfords - bulb 987 Exterior/Interior 12v 2.2w (if the same as 1275 cars, see edit)

ETA: just seen you have a Midget 1500 so I'm assumimg the bulbs are the same as I've got the owners Hanbook for the early car
