Painted calipers
Discussion
Made a start on painting my horrible rusty looking hubs in black, and my slightly scabby looking brake calipers in blue. A worthwhile thing to do as it detracts from the nice alloys! Unfortunately I only managed to do one side of the car before the rain came along, so I'll have to do the other side some other time. Wheels need a clean too.

Nice work and not simply from a cosmetic viewpoint. Which type and brand of paint did you use?
I recently replaced both rear discs and pads on one of my Rover 620ti. A few days before doing so, I used some black engine ( high temperature ) gloss paint on the areas of the disc bosses to hold back the surface corrosion which always affects them.
In the past I have cosmetically treated the calipers to a paint job. Some years ago, rather than throw away the silver and gold paint tins with a little paint in the bottom, I spent a little time doing this .. I hate waste ...
I thought this effort was quite pretty ...;)
Well, helps to pass the time ..

I used blue Hammerite smooth on the calipers. I also did the disc bosses using black Hammerite smooth, as you say they do get very unsightly otherwise.I recently replaced both rear discs and pads on one of my Rover 620ti. Thankfully discs and pads are relatively easy to change on the ZT... used to take my 620ti to a garage, because that stupid Honda hub design always made it a bit of a nightmare to do the front discs...
