MGB GT Headlamp conversion advice.
Discussion
Not my car but i am helping a friend.
Sealed beam bulb has failed in the N/S headlamp. i am aware that there is a conversion kit for them. Can anyone recommend a make and will the standard wiring cope with the change?
Car is a 1976 model with pilot light incoporated into the housing.
I have been offered a Wipac kit for a good price. Are these ok?

Before you change the lights check all the connections and wiring otherwise you might find the replacement is unnecssary and doesn't work on N/SSealed beam bulb has failed in the N/S headlamp. i am aware that there is a conversion kit for them. If the wiring, connections and switches are in reasonable condition then there's no problem fitting new to existing wiring, if the wiring and switches are not in good condition then some recommend fitting relays too
I've got the Lucus H4 and they are good, I've read where someone put the Wipac aren't up to much
I'd make up a test light to check the N/S light is faulty before new lamps are ordered though
