I have bought a 2003 ZT-T 190 and we are very happy with it (I have spent more on PC componants than this car - unbelievable value and goes/drives great!)

The only thing I would like to change (if possible) is the upper radio/cassette head unit for a CD/MP3 unit (We only ever use MP3's now..)

Is this possible - are there conversion kits that allow a standard head unit to fit?

Cheers smile

Assuming you haven't got the Hi-line (built in Satnav, TV etc) then it should be pretty simple. Just get a single DIN fascia plate (they're on Ebay for a tenner or so), and away you go more or less, I think.

Might be slightly trickier if you have the HK upgrade fitted.

I haven't got the satnav, it's just a radio/casstette in a double din space. I found this;

http://www.carstereos4u.co.uk/rover-double-din-fit...

But it doesn't say if it's for a pre or post facelift model (mine's pre) - or are they both the same?

Ooh, that's interesting! I've not seen a cheap double-din before! I was looking for one of those a while back, but could only find the BMW ones, which have different "ears" at the top. One sticks up whilst the other sticks out sideways, but I can't remember which is which.

You can also get single-din converters if you don't want to fit a double-din radio.

Either way, I doubt anyone will do one in the post-facelift sandpaper dash finish, so you should be OK.
