The cat C made silly money, so Im back to square one again. Just found this car, spoke to the guy, its been sorn for a year. Does not know if the cambelt or HG has been done, and does not know when it was last serviced, but says its drives ok. No tax, and MOT to Nov 2010. Seems ready to sell, and seems cheap to me. Have a look and give me your opinions. Cheers.

I'd be supicious of the short MoT. There must be an issue, otherwise why not get a new ticket?
For the sake of the MoT fee & poss 1 day insurance (say £70 altogether), it becomes a lot more attractive - if it passes.

If you can get the document no. from the V5 or current MoT, you can find out (on DVLA website) if it's been tested recently and, if so, why it failed.

Mine failed on emissions (lamda sensor) & seized brake caliper. Removing the old sensor damaged the manifold, so that had to be replaced. Cost £500.

Well the search continues. It turned out to be a bit of a gamble as the car had not had any money spent on it at all in the last 3 years, so I am thinking there is an expensive MOT comming up. However if I had the budget for more repairs, I would of gone for it.
