new cat for her 2001 1.8i (y) mgf engine light on and diagnostic shows cat ?? under stand from y on the cats cost the earth nearly.. any one know a good used or avail cat for sale.. thanks all

check on other MG forums as it may not be the cat but may be a sensor which may only need taking out and cleaning to extinguish the engine light (or replacing)

ETA: also check wires and boot cover on sensor for splits or crudy
