As a general rule of thumb, if you see a fellow MG driver you typically exchange a little flash of the lights or a friendly wave (quite a nice thing to do IMO)....

Well, on my way to work today, roof down - glorious sunshine in Kent I went past a MK1 MX5 and just gave a friendly wave to acknowlegde the lovely day and both cars were roof down... to which I got two fingers ???

I think you need to at least be in the same make/model car as the other person not to risk them ignoring or two-fingering, oooerrr! you.
Normally get an acknowledgment from other MGB owners, not sure I'd expect the same in a modern car.

There are quite a few MG drivers around where I live, ranging from F - TF - Old Skool alike, so all very civilised... Had some waves from MR2 owners, which is good having had some MK1's myself, shame about the rust points as I think I'd still have my AW-11 T-Bar.

If im in the Midget or B then I wave but to be honest ive driven my ZR for 6 years now and the F for 6 months and get nothing although at first I did wave but gave up. It is to be honest more of a classic car thing.

I'd agree with that. I used to wave and get waved at all the time when I had a B. The only people who ever flash or wave at me in the ZT are PHers who recognise the car!
