Having recently purchased April 03 car from dealer from MG Direct - I have noticed the following problems. Has anyone else expereienced similar?

1. Xenon lights - in rain drivers side lights & indicator mist up (35% of lamp covers) -
Rover dealer says covered under warranty, but only if eveidence
exists. has anyone else experienced similar problems?
2. Factory fit Kenwood (KRC 391)stereo & CD multi-changer - CD does
not work, setero only locks onto local radio station - does not pick
up Radio 1,2, or 3 for more than a few seconds.

Hiya fella.

Well iot a ZT and i have the same issue with my head lights. They will fix it. I had the same problem on my TF they replaced lights. As for the disc changer and radio i'd suggest you to ask them to re fit it.

Good luck mate.

Forgeot to say. The head lights problem is usually down to bad sealing around the lights. Dont't take any rubbish off them I have been through it and they get very lazy once you buy a car from them

You could alway contact head of sales (Director) like i did. Seemed to work in the end.

no problems with the lights; i got an ex demonstrator 160 ZT so no zenon lights BUT - I have recently had a new cooling fan fitted - monster job that was to change - they had the car twice before fathoming out how to do it and the front bumper had to come off which meant taking the rad out and a whole host of other stuff.

Apart from a couple of niggles I am very impressed with the car - i want to upgrade after 12 short months now to a V8. The Geneva pics look GORGEOUS. I am hooked. P5 looking mungus.

Havent noticed problem with lights, but Kenwood units are shitey fiddly efforts - had an MP3 upgrade fitted and remote controls would not work - this was replaced by a better unit but requires a silly little sensor stuck to the dash! MG havent done their homework here and Kenwood need to improve the ease of operation of their units - they are an absolute nightmare of small, fiddly buttons. Top car otherwise so far though...

Guys - thanks for info. It rained on Sunday so managed to geat it to dealer with lights misted up, so they have no excuse now. Small plastic box which sits underneath car next to drivers side rear wheel/damper came adfit. AA had no idea what is for. Possibley air difuser - no doubt garage will be ablt to enlighten me.
