Having terrorised most of the southern England with the rattling baffles in my exhaust over past few days the time has come to get a new back box.

I'd like to go OEM with either the 120 box (oval single pipe which I've got at the mo) or the 160 box (twin pipe which I think looks nicer).

I'm open to the suggestion of an aftermarket box, but I really don't want it to be too much louder than standard.

Any suggestions of good suppliers?

Thanks

Have you priced an OEM one, not Bosal or any of that rubbish that doesnt fit properly. You might be happy to pay that I know I was. All the cheaper stainless ones are loud (blue flame etc).

I got a OEM box this morning for £40 from a factor, even if the quality is crap it'll do for the time being (the tip looks much nicer if nothing else!) until some funds can be raised to pay for a decent system!

Sorry to hi-jack your thread OP but I may treat myself to a replacement exhaust in upcoming months. I've only got the 1.4 105 so i don't want something loud like a blueflame. just want something sutbel that'll look nice and give the exhaust note a bit of character!

the xpower exhaust has been recommended but I have no idea how loud it will be as most youtube videos are done by people with videophones from 2000!

Recommendations? Ta

Its not loud at all just a lovelly burble on tickover and a nicer deeper note while cruising, I cant stand boyracer farty exhausts so that why I chose the x power one and have not regretted it.

Not got any pics at the minute, it's a single oval of similar size to the original.

Although the bloody box wasn't the problem after all that, it turned out to be the heatshield had corroded on the bolts and dropped onto the top of the box. causing the vibration/rattling. banghead

So for the time being the original is still on the car with the new one living in the cupboard.

Will take a pic when I get a chance.
