Hi all,

Just from the title I guess you must realise the issue! I have access to a MkIV Midget which I'd like to drive for a month or so this summer, but insurance rears it's ugly head. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should go for a 'reasonable' quote? The MGOC use Lancaster, but you have to be over 21 for them. Will Adrian Flux be the best? If you need more details just ask, but I'm only really trying to find out who I should ring.

Thanks a lot

Carwyn

Does the car belong to someone else? If it does, you wont be able to insure it in your name.
If the owner has insurance, the easiest thing would be to add you to his policy and you pay the increase.
Otherwise try Footman James, they came in the cheapest for me. smile

Ive always found Peter Best very helpful, going to put my daughter on the insurance for a couple of my cars that I have with them when she turns 18 this month. But like the op said unless its in your name youre pretty much buggered for getting insurance on your own on any car.
