My B has always run-on after a long run. Ive had the timing properly checked out and had the carbs sorted and I am at a bit of a loss. The car apparently has an unleaded head so I use unleaded fuel. I've heard that this can lead to the plugs sooting (which they do). I am thinking maybe the head is has too much carbon on it and the engine is deiseling? I read that using spark plugs one grade hotter can help. Anyone know whether this is true? and if so, any recommendations for good plugs?

Thanks

If the plugs are sooting up then a grade or two hotter can help but also check the mixture to make sure it isn't too rich which will also cause the plug fouling. As for a good plug then NGK, Bosch or Champion are all favourites and it's all a matter of what's suited to your car.
Check on the internet for heat ranges as Bosch and NGK numbers go the opposite way for hot and cold, not sure about champion. What are you using now?
