MGF : Car Alarm Keeps Going Off

I have an MY2000 MGF and for the last few weeks the alarm has been going off for no reason???

I have checked the door micro switches and all the interior lights do go out ok.
I have had a new alternator belt fitted recently all the connectors cleaned up and the battery is charging ok.

Its very intermittment, so has anyone else had a similar issue and got any other suggestions??

Noticed that the loom on boot lid has some split wires, disconnected the interior boot light as perhaps its not going out?? causing a current drain. Anyway, no false alarms since and guess I will be doing a bit of patching over the weekend.
