Hi Guys,

seriously considering buying a ZT or a ZT-T; how difficult is it to get parts these days and are they expensive compared to those for peer cars..??

I live in Bristol - does anyone know any good MG Garages that wont devour an arm and a leg to do the servicing work...??

Ta!

I've had a diesel ZT-T since July last year and found parts no problem (apart from a bonnet open switch, I haven't needed any.....better find some wood). There are various x-power dealers around the country, mostly ex MGR dealers who can still obtain parts. My local garage did a service on mine just before Christmas and have no problem in locating them. There's also Rimmers who are very good with a more or less next day delivery. There is an x power dealer locating website around that should tell you where your nearest dealer/service agent is, plus there's also the MG Rover forums and x power forums for help, both extremely useful. Body parts may be a different matter though but usually just a case of being patient if you're unlucky enough to damage the car. Mine's just come back from the body shop with a new front wing and repaired door after being hit by somebody, looks like new. They are great cars, you won't regret buying one.

Evening Timbo - had four ZT's in total; my best m8 used to work for MG Rover and had all of mine on their Friends & Family deal. For me they were one of the best cars on the market when they were out....bloody brilliant!

Thanks for your reply m8

http://shop.mg-rover.org/?

That would appear to be the link for finding your nearest dealer, 3 in the Bristol area.

There's the ex-main dealer in Brislington for parts and I get mine serviced by PJG Autos in Longwell Green. He's an indi who specialises in aircon and Jags but has doen sterling work on my ZTT.

Go with Bills recommendation.
I used to use http://www.mjnmotors.co.uk/ on my tf. Fixed a hgf for a not insignificant £700 only for it to go again 6 weeks later. Wouldn't accept any responsibility, didn't use one of the uprated gaskets despite being told to and cue another £700 repair and hasty autotrader ad.
