Looking for a cheap (i.e. £1k or less) MGB - Where?
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase an MGB for as little as possible - as long as it has an MOT it's fine but I'm having difficulties hunting one down. I've tried everywhere - Autotrader, Car and Classic, Classic Cars for Sale, Pistonheads, Gumtree, eBay but to no avail. Can anyone point me in the direction of one, of maybe you are looking to sell yours?
All the best,
Ben

At a grand your looking at rubber BGT. You will get one for that money (we just have, story coming up soon) and with careful hunting it should be a nice car with plenty of life left in it before needing work. BUT buy the wrong car and you will need to spend more than the purchase price getting it roadworthy for the next MOT.
Any other options Chrome bumper or roadsters aren't in that price bracket, if they are priced there then MOT or not expect there to be major issues reflected in the price.
Also don't listen to people telling you to avoid the rubber bumper cars, a rubber BGT makes a fantastic daily driver and is still a pleasure to drive.
