My sister-in-law has an MGF that refuses to start when the weather is damp/wet. It took me and hour to get it going today after a good spray with WD40.

Any ideas anyone?

I may be able to help out here guys.......

I had the same problems on my MGF VVC, the cause is the length of the HT leads on the VVC engine that allows then to spark out easily.

You need to buy Magnecor leads at ~£70 a set that had better insulation, perfect starting and throttle response

even if you don't have the VVC it will be the leads though.
