MGF not starting, loud rattle

My poor Penelope is sick, been sitting idle for 2 weeks, tried starting up today, all electrics seem to be OK so battery seems OK, but all I get is a loud rattle and no turning over.

Any advice?

Sounds like the battery is flat.
The rattle is the starter solenoid trying to work, but not there not being a large enough charge in the battery to keep it engaged.

Sounds like a spot on diagnosis so far to me....

All fixed. It was battery issues, although have changed the plugs as well as they were looking a bit sad.
