Hi All,

Spotted this today, (and I have no connection with the seller) got me to thinking, Anthea bless her heart has had a lot of bad press over the years and is not that popular with the British Public, I know that when a car has had a previous celebrity owner, it usually increases the value, but in this case, the car does seem cheaper than I would expect, (given it's unique colour scheme) I wonder if her lack of popularity would maybe have had the opposite effect?

Can't see why it would matter in this case, she isn't Elvis is she so the price isn't going to go up. Likewise she isn't Gary Glitter.....

I like the way they say it was built for her by MG

No it was a normal one that just ended up being hers. nothing special!

Can anyone explain what is "unique" about the colour scheme? BRG and cream leather?

I am told that it was a non standard colour, maybe it's a non standard combination of colours with the cream and BRG? Just what I am told....

I hear she's had more than one.

Actually, granted back in the day I would have done bad things to a photograph of Anthea Turner... However, I was 13 at the time. What you are now suggesting is quite, quite wrong.

And secretly, it's why we all love you...

It's not the standard BRG, IIRC it was resprayed in a shade of green that matched an MG that her family owned when she was a kid.

Anthea Turner.....bloody good reason not to buy it if you ask me. Hardly something to shout about.
