Been thinking about getting my missus a ZR 1.4 ,
I'd be interested in opinions/experiences , good and bad , what to look out for when searching and are parts readily available ?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

I love my ZR 160, comfortable and easy to drive. I had several of the rover 214 over the years and found parts and maintenance very cheap and the car quite fast for a 1.4 while returning good mpg.

The only fault I have, apart for checking the usual head gasket, is where the front wing meets the front bumper. It looks like the bumper rubs against the underside of the wing taking off the paint, allowing in moisture and leading to rust at this joint. This needs attention on my car and also a collegue at work with same car.
Otherwise other than routine maintenance (tyre & brake pads) my car has needed nothing. Very cheap to run.
