MGC ALLOY CYLINDER HEADS
Discussion
Any C owners interested in a Alloy cylinder, there may be a possibility of new ones being cast and machined. If enough positive response then it may be able to produce from a original cast.
Just think of the wieght saing and if your engine is modified like mine I want to have more work done to produce a race head.

I can remember a twelve port Aluminium head on a Le Mans prototype Triumph GT6. The Stainless Steel six branch exhaust manifold was a thing of sheer beauty and triple bank of Webers looked and sounded more like an E-Type. I think it was an experimental Arrden head, from the team who do the eight port heads for the Mini and Midget. Maybe ask if they do one before you go to all the trouble of making a cast.
Hi Mike
did not get near casting or CNC, eventulaly i found one with Peter Burgess cost an arm etc but works well.
Approx £3k worth full race head.
I doubt that any nore will be made not many C owners are interested in this due to cost and returns. The old cast head can be made to breath well and the wieght diff is the only reason. many be 1/3 of the wieght.
At present its in the workshop being rebuilt again , lost compression in one cylinder again. another £££ rebuild.
What C do you have !
